Kanye's New Look?

Performance with Nicki Minaj
Macy's Day Parade

I realized since Kanye West released his great album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, almost every performance 'Ye has done he's been rockin' the headband.. I don't think anything of it, I mean it's Kanye West. His style is always on point and he don't give a care what anyone thinks. But I wonder what got him to start wearing the headband? Maybe his  19-Year-Old Stylist  Yale Sophomore, Cassius Clay.

what do you think of 'Ye's look?

Dead Birds Fall from Sky in Arkansas

Authorities are investigating the deaths of up to 5,000 blackbirds and 100,000+ Drum Fish that mysteriously died just 125 miles away from Beebe Arkansas.

How in the world does that happen? Just imagine waking up one morning and finding dead birds in the lawn, street, and all over town then finding out 100,000 fishes were found dead! Thats just crazy. I really can't wait to see if they can figure out what caused this..

Bananas are at risk of extinction?!

According to Time Magazine they are!

"Thanks to some scientific adversity, the future of bananas is in limbo. The Jan. 10 issue of The New Yorker takes a trip inside the plight of the Cavendish variety -- a blend that comprises nearly all of the exports across the world.
Despite its business dominance, the Cavendish plant wilts in the face of Tropical Race Four, a fungus that decimated the fruit's populations in the Far East and Australia. The New Yorker report takes that present concern one step further. Scientists' next worry revolves around whether the same disease will plague today's primary supply in Latin America."

UH OH!

They better not! Bananas are the bomb! Best fruit everrrr and make amazing smoothies!

Jay-Z in Oprah Presents: Master Class

Master class is a documentary series that cover the journey of influential people today, what lessons they have learned on the way. Upcoming episodes consist of Condallezza Rice,r, Maya Angelou, Sidney Poitier, Diane Sawye and more..

Last night I couldn't sleep(but whats new) and I was surfing the channels and decided to jump OnDemand and check out the new Oprah Winfrey Network(OWN) shows. Right away I saw Master Class: Jay-Z and had to watch it. I fell in love right away with the show and as well with Jay-Z and how he made his way to the top. I'm a big fan of his music but it was good to see and hear about how he dealt with everything and what he has learned along the way. What really interested was his response topics from success, relationships, excellence, life.

On Success
I’ve learned more from failures than success and it can be paralyzing….failure and the fear of it…If I was going to be successful I had to be successful at myself. I couldn't be successful doing what other people were doing. I had to do what I believed in and what felt real to me and true to me. The worst thing to be, is successful as someone else. That’s a very difficult thing to up keep and it’s very tiring. I feel very sorry for someone who has to walk out of the house everyday as someone else to make this art and to make something that people connect to and whatever you've made is not you and you’re not happy about it but it’s successful. Just to maintain that level of success has to be very draining and sad in existence. At some point, you have to go home and when you go home, all the lights are off and you have to look in the mirror, you have to look at yourself and say “Man, I like who I am” or “I’m not very happy with who I am.”
On relationships
I think any relationship inspires creativity, especially when it’s a great relationship. The people around you inspire you in certain ways..be it something they’ve done, or something they’ve said. I think any good relationship inspires you. Well, sometimes bad relationships create great art. In the case of Marvin Gaye and Usher’s “Confessions” album and I guess Justin’s “Cry Me River” came out of bad relationships. I guess relationships in general inspire music..be good or bad. My pain, your entertainment.
On excellence
I think excellence is being able to perform at a higher level over and over again. You can hit a half court shot once. That’s just the luck of the draw. If you can consistently do it, through eleven championships like Bill Russell, then that’s excellence. Having success for a year or two that’s called being hot. That’s being in demand for a short span of time.
On Life
I believe everything that happens in life is there to build character, to be learned from [and] is some type of energy returning back to you. Everything that I’ve based my life upon is worked out that way for the most part but I don’t know.
I think the most important lesson for me would be, be true to yourself. It sounds like a very simple thing to do but it’s not, it’s not simple to do with all the pressures to succeed and all the pressures to (once you succeed) stay there. Belief in oneself, in knowing who you are is the foundation of everything great.

Jay-Z is such a wise man..

Art May Be My New Hobby

 Swizz Beatz Art Studio
Swizz Beatz first Art Piece of 2011

I've been following Swizz Beatz on Twitter since I've had my account and he has to be one of the most diverse and interesting people. He always is either posting hot new music or posting amazing photos of his art work. I've always enjoyed art but never stepped my foot into it but after constantly seeing Beatz talk about art I really want to get into it. Come on this guy is a successful producer, has a album coming out, just got married, had a baby, producing songs for loads of artist, starting his own line of Reebok sneakers, AND still has time to do great art pieces.. I'm not even close to being that busy and plus I need a new hobby!

Thank you Swizz Beatz for inspiring me!

Hello 2011!

Another New Year celebrated and another 12 months, 52 weeks, 365 days, 525,600 minutes, (and if we wanna go even further31,556,926 seconds ahead of us. I always read people say on Facebook or Twitter "New Year New Me".. But it's always the same people who write that this year who wrote it the year before. I wonder if these people are really changing? I think either maybe they don't like what they're doing, don't know who they are, don't like who they are, they like the saying, or maybe just maybe they are truly seeking improvement in the year ahead(foreal this time). People can tell themselves "I'm going to make a change with myself this year," but reality is "It's easier said than done." You can say all of this but if you're not motivated, dedicated, and striving for that goal that you set for yourself on a daily basis than what are you really doing? When I set a goal for myself this year I turned to one of my favorite quotes from Will Smith is 99% is the same as zero. If you are gonna do 99, go ahead stay home. Powerful huh?...It's true, why go for something and not put your all into what you want to achieve.

So this year if you made a resolution to either lose weight, open a business, get Deans List, start a charity, stop drinking soda, eat healthier, or whatever your new years resolution was, go for it with all your heart because at the end of it when you achieve that goal you set for yourself all your going to feel is accomplishment and positive because you did it!.. Take it step by step, don't doubt yourself ever, never give up, and give it your all! It's may be hard to get where you want to be but everything is possible.

"If you can dream it you can achieve"
